Tom Markham, age 93, of Palestine passed away Thursday November 13, 2014. Mr. Markham was born on October 26, 1921 in Crockett and had lived in Palestine for the last 18 months previously residing in Leon County. He earned an engineering degree from the University of Houston and was a veteran of the United States Navy and United States Air Force. Mr. Markham was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Crockett. He is survived by wife, Ina Sue Markham of Palestine; grandson, John Kelly Markham and wife, Angie of Katy; granddaughter, Tamara Fuselier and husband, Brice of Baytown; 5 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Mr. Markham was preceded in death by wife, Estelle Markham, son, Tom Markham, Jr., brother, John W. Markham and parents, John and Nan Markham and sisters, Faye Willis and Lucy Collins. Funeral services for Mr. Tom Markham will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Patrick Evans officiating. Graveside Military services will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Wounded Warriors Project P.O.
